Questions

What is the camp like?

It works like a seasonal mountain camp: set up in spring and taken down in autumn. Dinner and breakfast are in a heated dome and you sleep in tents already set up, with a pad and a sleeping bag. You carry none of that.

What happens on the middle day?

Sunrise at Laguna de los Tres and then nothing much: a long breakfast, a nap, the river. It is the day most people never get.

When can I go?

From 15 October to 20 April, while the camp is set up.

Is the transfer from El Calafate included?

No: it starts and ends in El Chaltén. If you are coming from El Calafate, we add the transfer and a night in town.

Can the order of the days change?

Yes. We arrange it around the forecast: if a day looks very windy, we move the big hike to the best day.

Are the hikes in a group?

No: the guide walks only with you, from one person up. If you would rather join a group, write to us and we tell you which dates there are.

What if I travel alone?

You can: the guide walks only with you. The price is in the table, under "1 person".

How fit do I need to be?

Able to walk 6 to 8 hours in a day, with climbs. No mountain experience needed. If in doubt, write to us and we will look at it.

How do I pay?

A deposit to confirm and the rest before the trip, in dollars or pesos. We send you the details on WhatsApp.
