PATAGONIA · ESTANCIA CRISTINA

ESTANCIA CRISTINA · LOS GLACIARES NATIONAL PARK

The journey begins with a navigation across Lago Argentino, sailing through glacial waters and clusters of icebergs before entering the Cristina Channel. Once at the estancia, the experience continues with gentle guided walks through native woodland, rivers and open Patagonian terrain.

The Experience

A Day of Navigation, Nature and History

The day begins at Puerto Punta Bandera with a boat journey across Lago Argentino. The navigation follows the northern arm of the lake through a landscape shaped by glaciers, mountains and drifting icebergs before reaching the Cristina Channel and the estancia.

After disembarking, an expert guide introduces the natural and cultural history of the area. A gentle walk leads through the semi-arid Patagonian ecotone toward Cascada de los Perros, passing secluded viewpoints with perspectives across the surrounding lakes and valleys.

The historical part of the visit follows the Río Caterina, passing the old waterwheel and continuing toward the estancia’s chapel and Heritage Museum. The experience also includes time at the Quincho, where a family-style Patagonian lunch is served.
