The journey begins in El Chaltén, following the Fitz Roy River valley into a landscape shaped by glaciers, wind and time.
The trail crosses native lenga forests and natural viewpoints where the first views of Cerro Torre and its surrounding granite needles begin to appear.
As we continue deeper into the valley, the forest slowly opens into a wide glacial landscape leading towards Laguna Torre, a natural viewpoint facing Cerro Torre, the Grande Glacier and the floating ice that often rests on the lagoon.
More than reaching a destination, this trek is about discovering one of Patagonia’s most fascinating mountain environments — understanding its history, its extreme weather and the stories of the climbers who have been drawn to these granite walls for generations.
